I am currently a full-time coordinator and part-time doctoral student in Reading/Writing/Literacy education at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. I'm interested in the intersections of identity, power, writing, and social positioning. I am equally and deeply committed to work that promotes social justice and action.  My dissertation research attempts to combine these two interests by focusing on how academic support staff experience the workplace and attempting to create staff-only spaces in which we can talk, write, and learn together.

As a community member, I have volunteered with ActionAIDS, Nationalities Service Center, and Asian Arts Initiative, local non-profits dedicated to enriching and improving the lives of people and communities in Philadelphia.  I hope to return to volunteering with these organizations once I have completed my dissertation.
